Below is all my published writing to date. My published writings include 3D tutorials, MMD community and cultural essays, blog posts, poetry and lifestyle articles. I have written for several publications in recent years, including pieces for websites and newspapers.

I hold a First Class English Literature BA degree from the University of Reading, which has greatly assisted me in writing all the following pieces.

In Defence of MMD Transformative Artists- A Justification On Why MMD Renders Should Be Respected as ‘Valid Art’ and the Impossible Pursuit of ‘Original Art’. (2023)

This academic-style essay argues that MMD Transformative Art should be respected as 'real art', as all art is transformative and borrows from subjects that came before it.

MikuMikuMainstream: How Hatsune Miku is Reaching the Most Unlikely of Places. (2023)

This blog post investigates the increase of Hatsune Miku's image and voice in the UK, specifically in my home county in the North of England, Yorkshire. It discusses the various examples of Miku making an appearance in real life, outside of the digital world, and what it means for Vocaloid fans who have been around since the start.

This essay discusses the impacts that social media platform management has on artists, with a focus on the MMD community. It also explores where the community could go next if DeviantART and Twitter die, and why it would be Discord.

This stream of consciousness essay dives into the lexicon that I have invented to describe effect creators in the MMD community, how they are now widely used, and why we now do not need them.

In this blog post, I talk about my experiences studying at University as a working-class woman with queer and disabled identities, and on how a working-class person pursuing an education in the arts resists a Conservative government to push poor people into industry.

This article is a response article to those who are convinced that social media is bad for people. It addresses the issue through the lense of long distance relationships and long distance friendships. This article was originally published on the Spark Newspaper Online website, but has since been removed.

This was my first piece of written work made for The Spark Newspaper. This article outlines my experiences living with an anxiety disorder at University. It was published in the physical newspaper rather than on the website, and so the link will take you to the scanned version of the article.
